Introducing the therapist and clergy abuse online book club, where we read and discuss (via Zoom) therapist and clergy abuse books with other survivors and the authors who wrote them!
We will read Prayed Upon: Breaking Free from Therapist Abuse by Amy Nordhues, Let Me Prey Upon You by Sandy Kirkham, A Fire is Coming by Emma Stevens, and Mending the Shattered Mirror by Analie Shepherd. Cost to join is a one-time fee of $25 and includes two Zoom sessions per book/author for a total of 8 Zoom sessions. Amy Nordhues will be facilitating all sessions along with guest authors. Groups are capped at 10 people. Members must buy the books separately and agree to read before each session.
The first groups I led back in the spring were amazing, and we are still in touch! I hope you will sign up and experience the connection and closeness that comes from being with others who understand the unique trauma you’ve been through.
We are offering a Sunday afternoon group from 3-4:30 pm Central and a Tuesday evening group from 5:30-7 pm Central. We will meet on the last two days of each month. First sessions start at the end of August! The groups will conclude after the last two sessions in November (we may need to schedule around Thanksgiving). I hope to see you there!
